  1. Ms. R. Lathika Menon
    (M.Sc. Kerala Univ., M.Phil Mumbai Uni.)
    Her area of interest is atomic and Nuclear Physics and has worked on Schwinger's approach to Thomas Fermi Model. She has a special interest in students who find Physics difficult and is active in the remedial course. She is also interested in innovative experiments and demonstrations.

  2. Ms. Sulekha Gopinath (HOD) : M.Sc. Mumbai Uni., M.Phil Mumbai Uni.
    M.Phil. dissertation dealt with tunnelling in electronic devices. She is also involved in remedial course.

  3. Ms. Hemlatha Deshpande : M.Sc. Mangalore Uni.

    She is very much interested in Physics popularization and is involved in motivating activities of Physics association. Her area of interest is Astronomy and Cosmology. She is also interested in Electronic instrumentation.

  4. Dr. Ms.Anita Kanwar : M.Sc.- Mumbai University, Ph.D.
    Her area of interest includes Liquid crystals, Nano particles, Electronics and semiconductors. She has 14 publications to her credit in National & International journals. UGC sponsored research project undertaken.

  5. Mr. Atul Mody : M.Sc. IIT Mumbai, M.S. Northwestern University

    His area of interest is theoretical Physics, especially Astrophysics, General Relativity and Properties of materials. He is also interested in Computational Techniques applied to Physics problems. He has been actively involved in Talent Nurture Program in the college and Indian Physics Olympiad training program. Awarded UGC research grant for the project on "Computational study of material properties" for 2006-2007. Has designed & executed 'Supplementary Programme for Capacity Building in Physics. Served on NCERT review and editing committee for revising class XI & XII Physics textbooks in the year 2006 - 07. Was involved with NCERT in preparation for Book of Exemplary Problem in Physics. Also involved the in review of class XI and XII physics Textbook of Mahrashtra H.S.C Board. He is a visiting faculty at University of Mumbai, Department for Physics and Center for Excellence in Basic Sciences. He has also been involved in Indian Physics and Astronomy Olympiad and Junior Science Olympaid and KVPY examinations. On Advisory Committee for Betterment of Science Education in K.J. Somaiya Comprehensive College of Education Training & Research. Has been Resource Person for many IAPT Workshops for Physics students & Teachers. Member of various Organisations – IAPT, IPA, IAGRG, ILA and BASE.  He is working on Capacity Building in Physics.' He has 5 publications to his credit. He has 5 publications to his credit.

  6. Dr. Devidas Gulwade: M.Sc., Ph.D. (IIT)

    His area of interest is Ferroelectric materials, Pulsed laser deposition (PLD) technique for thin film synthesis, Solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC), X-ray Crystallography and Rietveld analysis and Electrical and dielectric properties of ceramics. He has 10 publications to his credit.

    2. Talent Nurture Programme for advanced learners: Interested Students can participate in the Talent Nurture Programme. It involves problem-solving sessions, special courses: lab and theory, computational techniques for Physics and research project. Some of our students groomed under this programme got admission to prestigious Research institutes of higher learning and also selected for integrated Ph.D. programme..

    4. PHYSICS ASSOCIATION (Prof. In charge: Mrs. Lathika Menon)
      Activities include : guest lectures on special topics, exhibition, quiz, Presentation on special topics, scientific news - reading session, outing for Star Gazing with department owned telescope, Visit to near by research labs & Screening of Scientific Films for College teachers and students.

    5. Alumni :
      After passing out, many of our students join post-graduate program of university from where some of them have been selected in graduate school of TIFR, Graduate school of S.N. Nose Centre, Kolkatta and Integrated Ph.D. programme in IISC, BARC etc…. Our alumni also include people working in National Labs like BARC, software companies, academic institutions, industries and various other fields.
