Bio Effervescence

Bio effervescence, an Intercollegiate Academic Event of the Biotechnology Department of V.E.S. College of Arts, Science & Commerce has reached a glorious peak in 3 years.

The seed was sown in the year 2007 and now we can see the efforts of our Biotechnology students to make it a growing tree. The pioneers of Bio effervescence made the event a grand success within a period of 21 days only. This gave a spark of inspiration to the forthcoming batches to continue and maintain the tradition.

The objective of this event is to create a platform for the Bio Science students of Mumbai University (under graduates) to show case their hidden talents, to popularize science and facilitate learning beyond classroom teaching. It also helps our students learn organizational skills.

Under this festival, various events like Quiz, T-Shirt painting, Culture rangoli, Treasure hunt, ad-mad show, sket, director’s cut (making a film on Bioscience), biojockey etc are organized. This year, the students launched their 1st magazine Bio effervescence featuring articles like swine – flu, synthetic Biology, DNA origami, Bio informatics etc.

We hop this plantlet grow into a full fledged tree and make a mark among the inter-collegiate academic festivals.
