STUDENT's ACHIEVEMENTS:
Academic:
- Ms. Mubeena Sheikh of T.Y.B.Sc. Physics (2007-2008) showed an outstanding performance at National Graduate Physics examination a qualifier for getting admission to reputed institutions for higher studies, only 54 out of 5205 students qualified the examination.
- Ms. Sharenya of T Y B Com. (2007-2008) successfully qualified the CAT entrance exam, attaining 99 percentile score, making her eligible to join the prestigious IIM at Bangalore.
- Ms. Alpa Mogre of S.Y.B.Sc. (2007-2008) secured 8th Rank in an Aptitude Test in Chemistry, conducted by the Indian Chemical Society.

2004 – 2005:
- Mr. Indresh Tiwari (SYBSC) and Mr. Changdev Aghav (FYBCOM) participated in the International Level Marathon of 21 Km. that was organized by the Standard Chartered Bank on 9th January 2005 at Mumbai.
National Level Competitions:
2002-2003:
- Juni Sarkar of T.Y.B.Sc., participated in a Debate Competition at the National Level which was conducted by Birla High School, Kolkata and received the Consolation Prize.
2003-2004:
- Orijit Mitra of S.Y.B.M.M., was selected as the Best Speaker and appointed to the prestigious position of the Speaker of the House of the National Youth Parliament, representing the Maharashtra State.
- Mr. Aditya Kushal of T.Y.B.Sc. – Microbiology, & Mr. Orijit Mitra of S.Y.B.M.M., won the 1st Prize in Zonal round, in the L. N. Birla National Debate Competition & in the final round at Kolkata Mr. Origit Mitra won 3rd Prize among the top 7 participants.
2008-2009:
- Our College won the trophy for the ‘Best College’ at a National Level Seminar on ‘Contemporary Affairs, Issues, Concerns and Management’ organized by ICLES ‘M.J. College of Arts, Science & Commerce. Our students participated in maximum number of categories.
- Won 1st Prize for the ‘Young Quiz – Mastermind’, ‘Young Historian and Young Environmentalist”.
- Won 3rd Prize for ‘Young Social Scientist’.
University Level Competitions:
2002-2003 :
- Ms. Shweta More (T.Y.B.Sc.) won the 2nd Prize in the Marathi Elocution Competition.
- Ms. Jyotsna Sanglikar (T.Y.B.Sc.) won the 1st Prize in on the spot Painting.
- Mr. Harbir Singh (S.Y.B.Sc.(IT) got Consolation Prize for Cartooning.

- Ms. Amitava Ganguly of T.Y.B.M.M. won 3rd Prize in Western Instrumental.
- Ms. Shivangi Satpute of T.Y.B.A. received 2nd prize in Semi Classical Music in Final Round of Youth Fest and will receive 10 grace marks.
- Ms. Indrani Basu of T.Y.B.M.M. got 3rd prize in Elocution.

2005-2006:
- Mr. Jishnu Debnath of S.Y.B.Sc. – Information Technology won 3rd Prize of Rs. 3000/- at the 41st A.D. Shroff Inter-Collegiate Elocution Competition in which students from 45 Mumbai Colleges participated. The event was organized by the ‘Forum of Free Enterprise’and sponsored by S.B.I.
2008-2009:
- Ms. Usha Narayan of S.Y.B.A. & Mr. Sonavane of S.Y.B.Sc. – Information Technology won 1st Prize for Duet Singing at Malhar 2008 on 15th August.
- Ms. Pradnya Rai of T.Y.B.Sc.- Information Technology, Mr. Sushant Musale of T.Y.B.Sc. – Information Technology & Ms. Sindhu Kashyap Borpuzari of F.Y.B.M.M. won 1st Prize at an Inter Collegiate Quiz Competition organized by Jhunjhunwala College on 19th August 2008.
- Ms. Anandi Joisar of S.Y.B.Sc. won the 1st Prize in the Inter-Collegiate event “Chem House”.
- Ms. Usha Narayan of S.Y.B.A. won 3rd Prize for Solo Classical Dance at Malhar 2008 on 15th August 2008.

- Ms. Lakshimi Menon of S.Y.B.A. won the 1st Prize at 40th Intercollegiate A.D. Shroff Memorial Elocution that was organized by the ‘Forum of Free Enterprise’ on 26th January 2005. She was awarded a cash prize of Rs.5000/- by Eminent Industrialist Mr. N. B. Godrej.
- College won the 1st Prize in Sindhi Dance Competition.

- Mr. Mayur Bansode of S.Y.B.A., won 2 Gold Medals and 1 Silver Medal at the 8th National Karate Championship 2004 that was held at Ambala from 22nd to 25th July 2004.

- Mr. Mayur S. Bansode of T.Y.B.A. – Sociology, won 3 Gold Medals and a Kirpan at the National Level Karate Championship held at Amritsar in Punjab from 24th – 27 November 2005.
State Level Competitions:

- Mr. Subhas Das of T.Y.B.A. – Economics + Commerce., won a Gold Medal and Mr. Aftab Ayub of T.Y.B.A. – Economics & Mr. Pankaj Chandeia of T.Y.B.Com won a Silver Medal each at State Level Karate Championship 2005 for Maharashtra that was organized by Indian Amateur Sports Karate-do Association on 20th & 21st August 2005.
- Mr. Mayur S. Bansode of T.Y.B.A. – Sociology, won Gold Medal at the State Level Karate Championship held on the 12th & 13th of November 2005.

STAFF's ACHIEVEMENTS
2002-2003:
Dr. (Mrs.) Suniti Nagpurkar (HOD of Economics department) along with a team of 2 students were short listed at the 8th position (out of nine short listed teams) by WTI (We Think for India) for submission of a draft paper for the National Manufacturing Sector Policy Competition 2003. Dr. Nagpurkar as a team leader and Mr. Devtanu Banerjee, our ex-student of BMS faculty received the award at the ceremony by WTI in NewDelhi on 24th May 2003 at the residence of our Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
